Mycobutin is an antibiotic. It is used to treat infections caused by germs (bacteria) called mycobacteria. These are bacteria which cannot be destroyed with usual antibiotics.

Mycamine is called an antifungal medicine because it is used to treat infections caused by fungal cells. Mycamine is used to treat fungal infections caused by fungal or yeast cells called Candida.

Moxivig eye drops are used for the treatment of infections of the eye (conjunctivitis) when caused by bacteria.

What Metronidazole (Flagyl) Tablets are and what they are used for. Treat infections of the blood, brain, lung, bones, genital tract, pelvic area, stomach and intestines. Treat gum ulcers and other dental infections. Treat infected leg ulcers and pressure sores.

You may develop a positive test (Coombs test) which indicates the presence of antibodies that may destroy red blood cells. Your doctor will discuss this with you. Special care should be taken if you are taking/using other medicines as some could interact with Meropenem. In particular, tell your doctor or nurse if you are taking any of the following medicines:

Menveo is a vaccine that is used for active immunization of adolescents (from 11 years of age) and adults at risk of exposure to Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W135 and Y, to prevent invasive disease. The vaccine works by causing your body to make its own protection (antibodies) against these bacteria. This vaccine can only protect against meningococcal group A, C, W135, and Y bacteria. It cannot protect against other types of meningococcal bacteria other than groups A, C, W135 and Y, or against other causes of meningitis and sepsis (blood poisoning).

Menjugate Kit is a vaccine that is used to prevent disease caused by a bacterium named Neisseria meningitidis group C (also referred to as meningococcal group C bacteria). The vaccine works by causing your body to make its own protection (antibodies) against these meningococcal group C bacteria.

Malarone belongs to a group of medicines called antimalarials. It contains two active ingredients, atovaquone and proguanil hydrochloride. Malaria is spread by the bite of an infected mosquito, which passes the malaria parasite (Plasmodium falciparum) into the bloodstream.

Macrobid (Furadantin) Capsules contain 100mg of the active ingredient, Nitrofurantoin (in the anhydrous and monohydrate form) and are supplied to pharmacists in blister packs of 14 capsules. The capsule also contains talc, corn starch, lactose, carbopol, povidone, sucrose and magnesium stearate. The capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulphate and colourings quinoline yellow (E104), titanium dioxide (E171) and FD and C Blue No. 2 (E132).

This medicinal product is used for the treatment of fungal (yeast) infections of the mouth and the throat due to Candida in patients with reduced immune system.
