VFEND (Voriconazole)

VFEND belongs to a group of medicines called triazole antifungal agents. These medicines are used to treat a wide variety of fungal infections. VFEND works by killing or stopping the growth of the fungi that cause infections.

Valcyte (Valganciclovir)

Valcyte belongs to a group of medicines, which work directly to prevent the growth of viruses. In the body the active ingredient in the powder, valganciclovir, is changed into ganciclovir.

Tyrothricin Benzocaine

Tyrozets is a medicine which is used to relieve minor mouth and throat irritations. Tyrozets may also be taken to relieve irritation after mouth and throat surgery, for example having your tonsils taken out. The lozenges contain tyrothricin, which is an antibiotic that helps fight throat infection, and benzocaine, a local anaesthetic that numbs sore throat pain quickly.

Trosyl (Tioconazole) 283mg/ml Nail solution

Trosyl is one of a group of medicines called antifungals. The active ingredient is tioconazole Trosyl is used in adults and children to treat nail infections caused by certain fungi Apply the nail solution thinly to cover the whole of the affected nail(s) and surrounding skin using the brush provided. Apply the solution every 12 hours.

Milpharm (Trimethoprim)

Trimethoprim is a broad spectrum agent which belongs to a group of medicines called “anti-infectives”. It kills a wide range of bacteria, and is used for treating and preventing bacterial infections of the bladder or urinary tract.

Timentin (Ticarcillin and Clavulanic acid)

Timentin 3.2 g (called ‘Timentin’ in this leaflet) is a penicillin antibiotic for intravenous (IV) infusion. It contains two different medicines, ticarcillin (present as ticarcillin sodium) and clavulanic acid (present as potassium clavulanate).

Thwart (Salicylic Acid) 26% w/w cutaneous solution

Thwart is used to treat and remove raised warts (usually found on the hands, elbows or knees) and verrucas (warts on the feet). Thwart is a special solution which can be easily applied to the wart, dries quickly, needs no plasters and if used properly should cause minimal irritation. Warts, or verrucas as they are often called, are found most commonly on the hands, feet and knees.
