Sebivo (Telbivudine)

Hepatitis B is caused by infection with the hepatitis B virus, which multiplies in the liver and causes liver damage. Treatment with Sebivo reduces the amount of hepatitis B virus in the body by blocking its growth, resulting in less liver damage and improved liver function. Sebivo can cause persistent unexplained muscle weakness or muscle pain (myopathy). Muscle symptoms may progress and become serious, sometimes leading to muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis) which can cause kidney damage.

Sebact MR – US: Minocin (Minocycline Hydrochloride) 100mg Tablets

The name of your medicine is Sebact MR (Minocin) 100mg Capsules. Each capsule contains 100mg of the active substance minocycline as minocycline hydrochloride. Sebact MR (Minocin) also contains the following other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, iron oxide red (E172), iron oxide yellow (E172), silica colloidal anhydrous, magnesium stearate, hypromellose phthalate, triethyl citrate, carnauba wax, gelatin, Opadry OY-S-24932 pink which contains hypromellose 2910, macrogol 6000. titanium dioxide (E171), talc, iron oxide red (E172). Sebact MR (Minocin) 100 mg capsules are brown and cream coloured hard capsules that are available in packs of 56 in foil blister strips.

Sandimmun (Ciclosporin)

Sandimmun is a clear, brown/yellow oily liquid containing 50 mg/ml of the active ingredient, ciclosporin.  It is used to prepare a solution which is administered by intravenous infusion. Ciclosporin is one of a group of drugs known as immunosuppressive agents.

Salazopyrin EN-tabs

he active substance in Salazopyrin EN-tabs is sulfasalazine which is an anti-inflammatory drug and belongs to a group of medicines called aminosalicylates. Your doctor may give you Salazopyrin EN-tabs to treat and manage inflammatory bowel disease or to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

Salatac Gel (Lactic acid, gel)

The product is volatile and highly flammable. Do not use it near flames or ignition sources (eg burning cigarettes or anything else that might ignite it). Avoid inhaling the vapour from the gel. Using other medicines

Rotarix (Rotavirus vaccine)

Rotavirus infection is the most common cause of severe diarrhoea in infants and young children. Rotavirus is easily spread from hand-to-mouth due to contact with stools from an infected person. Most children with rotavirus diarrhoea recover on their own. However, some children become very ill with severe vomiting, diarrhoea and life-threatening loss of fluids that requires hospitalisation.

Rinstead (Menthol and Cetylpyridinium chloride)

Is used for Rinstead sugar free pastilles contain cetylpyridinium chloride, an antiseptic that helps to kill germs that can cause infections and menthol, which has a soothing effect. They are used to treat pain and soreness caused by mouth ulcers and sore spots caused by dentures rubbing. Rinstead contain a red colouring agent, amaranth, which may cause allergic reactions and sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

Rifadin (Rifampicin)

Rifadin 150mg Capsules contain a medicine called rifampicin. It belongs to a group of medicines called anti-bacterials. It works by killing the bacteria that cause infections.

Reyataz (Atazanavir)

Reyataz is an antiviral (or antiretroviral) medicine. It is one of a group called protease inhibitors. These medicines control Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection by stopping a protein that the HIV needs for its multiplication. They work by reducing the amount of HIV in your body and this in turn, strengthens your immune system.
