Dalacin C Phosphate (Clindamycin phosphate) 150 mg/ml Sterile Solution

Dalacin C Solution is a sterile solution for injection into a vein (intravenously) or into a muscle (intramuscularly). The solution contains clindamycin phosphate which is an antibiotic used in the treatment of serious bacterial infections. If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to clindamycin, lincomycin or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine. Take special care with Dalacin C Solution

Dalacin does not get into the brain and is therefore not suitable for treating serious infections in and around the brain. Your doctor may need to give you another antibiotic if you have these infections. Some medicines can affect the way this medicine works, or the medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time. These include:

Daktarin Oral Gel (Miconazole)

The name of your medicine is Daktarin Oral Gel and its active ingredient is miconazole. Each gram of gel contains 20 mg of miconazole. Daktarin Oral Gel is a white, sugar free gel with an orange taste and is supplied in tubes of 80 g. A 5 ml plastic spoon, marked with a 2.5 ml graduation is provided.

Daktarin cream (Miconazole nitrate)

Daktarin 2% Cream is also effective against infected nappy rash. The cream contains miconazole nitrate which works by destroying both the fungus that causes the infection and some of the associated bacteria which may also be present. It also has moisturising properties to help soothe cracked, red skin.

Daktacort cream (Miconazole nitrate and hydrocortisone)

Do not use this medicine if any of the above applies to you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Daktacort cream. The inflamed skin is on your face. You should not use Daktacort cream on your face, unless your doctor has told you to

Ciloxan (Ciprofloxacin) 0.3% 5ml w/v Eye Drops Solution

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. Quinolone antibiotics, such as Ciloxan, can react with some other commonly used medicines, such as those containing warfarin, theophylline and caffeine. Do not use the drops while contact lenses are in your eyes.

ChloraPrep Cutaneous Solution (Chlorhexidine Gluconate / Isopropyl Alcohol)

ChloraPrep is a plastic applicator with a sponge tip on one end. The applicator contains a fast acting antiseptic solution, which is used to disinfect the skin and help prevent infections before medical procedures, such as injections, insertion of catheters and surgery. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breast feeding, ChloraPrep*can still be used.
